OPA277: OPA277U plating

Part Number: OPA277

What is terminals plating, materials and thickness of each layer of plating, of:

OPA2277U

OPA277U

  • Hello Avi,

The OPA277U may use one of a several RoHS, green compatible lead finishes. Often it is matte Sn (tin) but according to the datasheet PACKAGE OPTION ADDENDUM table it could be an alternate finish. The table for the OPA277U "Lead finish/ Ball material (ref note 6) says to "Call TI."  And note 6 states "Lead finish/Ball material - Orderable Devices may have multiple material finish options" Therefore, different lead finishes may be included within an OPA277U order.

Here is a link to the various TI lead compositions and their specifics:

  • Hi Avi,

What is terminals plating, materials and thickness of each layer of plating...

OPA277U's Lead Frame alloy and plating compositions can be found in the table below.

If you need thickness of each layers, please specify the elements of interest in Ni, Au or Pd or all of them. You or I have to request for it. These are typically done via electrolysis and plating film thickness can vary from 1.5um to 9um depending on the material.

If you have additional quesitions, please let us know.

BTW, I saw Thomas has replied to your inquiry. Since I searched for it, I post it anyway.

    Best,

    Raymond
