THS4531: THS4531 supply voltage

Part Number: THS4531

Hi

I want know about THS4531 supply voltage (Vs+, Vs-)

Is it possible to supply +5V (Vs+) , -5V(Vs-) ?

The homepage "parameters" item is written to "(+5V=5, +/-5V=10)"

What does it mean?

  • Hi Hyun,

no, +/-5V is not possible. Yes, the information given in the product details is misleading. But if you are in doubt, always consult the datasheet, especially the "Absolute Maximum Ratings":

  • Hello Hyun,

Kai is absolutely correct; please utilize the datasheet when exploring device capabilities and specifications.

As you can see from the THS4531 datasheet in the electrical specification tables on pages 7 &10, the minimum and maximum power supply range values of 2.5V & 5.5V match the values on the TI product page parameters table.

The (+5V=5, +/-5V=10) is a description of how the power supply range is defined, and is present on other TI device product pages.  This notation is there to demonstrate how to understand the value present in the table; these notes do not correspond to device performance (they are descriptive, like the V for showing power supply range is measured in Volts).

    Best,

    Alec
