OPA171-Q1: the supply voltage range

Part Number: OPA171-Q1

Hi,

the datasheet showed the supply voltage ranged from 2.7V to 36V ,but the relationgship diagram between the supply voltage and Iq showed that the Iq had dropped obviously when the supply voltage was under 6V ,

so wheather I could choose the  supply voltage range  from 2.7V to 6V. and may I  know what is infulences  to my circunt if I choose the supply voltage  under 6V.

thanks.

thanks.

  • The datasheet specifies the minimum supply voltage as 4.5 V. Apparently, the entries in the search function and on the product web page are wrong.

  • Hi Zhiguo,

me thinks the OPA171-Q1 is definitely intended to be used with supply voltages down to 2.7V. But when more and more decreasing the supply voltage below 4.5V the performance seems to more and more begin to degrade. See Figure 6-21, for instance, which shows the open loop gain versus different supply voltages:

There seem to be some minor mistakes in the datasheet referring to the concrete supply voltage conditions of the many specifications. But, hey, an 36V OPAmp which works down to 2.7V is a nice thing Relaxed

  • Zhiguo,

This is correct, OPA171-Q1 can operate at 2.7V but with degraded specifications. The datasheet specifications are listed to V+ = 4.5V which is the lowest supply voltage that the datasheet covers.

    Best,
    Jerry
