OPA3S2859-EP: TIA: Gain switching Saturation Issue

Part Number: OPA3S2859-EP

Hi,

We are using the OPA3S2859-EP for our application.

Earlier I had created a thread to discuss about the switching options and simulation results.

We mad our own board now and whenever we a provide a pulse, Output will initially go to saturation and comes back after 5-10 secs.

This happens when there is slight change in the current level also (in Sub 10 uA)

(We are presently testing for single gain i.e we are not doing any gain switching )

Layout is implemented as per the guidelines and all the connections are correct.

We are unable to figure out the issue.

Can anyone please suggest on this ?

Thanks

Anil

  • Hello Anil,

Would you be able to provide both schematic and layout either here or in the private messaging with me?

Does output initially go to saturation, and then the correct output is displayed after a time delay whenever an input is presented to the device or when current changes?

    Thank you,

    Sima

  • Hi Sima,

Does output initially go to saturation, and then the correct output is displayed after a time delay whenever an input is presented to the device or when current changes?

Yes. Even the pulse that we are getting is bandlimited. I mean its discharging slowly and also varying in amplitude(Input is constant)

Every time i change the input power even by 2-3uW it goes to saturation again and comes back after time delay.

I will share the schematics and Layout to you directly

  • Hello Anil,

Thank you for the files I received them, and will look over the information and directly message you.

    Best Regards,
    Sima
