INA226: stop giving current data when load is applied on the motor

Part Number: INA226

Hi,

I am having trouble in getting current data. I am running a small 3-phase DC motor and reading current values for the same. When the motor running freely without any load, the current data is fine but as I am applying load slowly, the current data becomes 0 and there is no further change in values.

What can be the possible reasons for it? PLease let me know.

Thanks in advance.

  • Hello Rishabh,

This sounds to me like the the wrong value may be being used for the calibration register.  Can you send me the values of all registers at a point when it fails? I will also need to know the shunt resistor value, and the maximum expected current.
