OPA1S2384: OPA1S2385

Part Number: OPA1S2384
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA1S2385, , OPA2354, TS5A4595, TS5A4594

Dear team,

Could OPA1S2385 replace OPA1S2384 without hardware change?  Seems they only have SC pin difference. Thanks a lot.

  • Hello Jianing,

This previous thread describes the design of the multi-chip-module containing an OPA2354 and either a TS5A4594 or TS5A4595 signal switch.  The final digit of these switch part #s corresponds to the final digit of the part # for the OPA1S2384/5.  If you view the datasheets for each switch, you can confirm the TS5A4594 is active high, and the TS5A4595 is active low.

As the internal switch is the only difference in these two parts, you are able to use the devices interchangeably without having to use a different package size.  Keep in mind however, the switch control pin signal (pin SC) will need to change depending on which device you are using.  If your existing design can accommodate either a logic high or logic low at the SC pin, for arbitrary signal lengths, your circuit can use either device.

As long as you consider which signal you are using to control the switch, you are good to swap devices.

    Best,

    Alec
