Hello,
I have a question for LF398-N.
The datasheet specifies the power supply range as +-5V to +-18V.
Is asymmetric supply range like -5V to +31V also acceptable if (V+) – (V-) is less than 36V?
Regards,
Oba

This device does not have an analog ground pin, so it cannot know where your 0 V is.
You can use any supplies as long as the total voltage is between 10 V and 36 V.
Hi Oba-san,

As Clemens pointed out, you may use asymmetric supply rails as long as 10V <= Vs <= 36V, where Vs = (V+) – (V-) and 36V is the absolute maximum supply voltage.
Within the datasheet, many performance figures are specified within -15V <=Vs <= 15V at 25C. Also, pay attention to the input voltage ranges as captured in the image below.
If you have additional questions, please let us know.
Best,
Raymond
