INA238: Current Sense Resistor

Part Number: INA238

Hello,

We have a following requirement:

Input Voltage: 10 to 68V (2 to 16S)

Maximum Current Range: 0 to 160A

Interface: I2C

For above requirement we come across with INA238 Power monitor IC.

Can we use 100 uΩ current sense resistor for our above requirement with INA238 IC ?

    hello Shiwankar,

    Thank you for the question and using the E2E forum.

    A 100 uΩ resistor will work in this situation. Max shunt resistance is going to be just north of 1mΩ in this case. So there's room to increase resolution depending on your accuracy needs/power dissipation constraints.
