OPA4325: TI LOGO NOT FOUND ON DIE

Part Number: OPA4325

Dear TI experts,

Our partner received this part# from TI Estore.

It’s their usual protocol to decap and keep record of this info. They observed that there’s no TI logo or part# OPA4325 or similar markings on the die set.

Please check and confirm if this is the relevant die of the part#OPA4325IPWR .

  • Hi Jean,

They observed that there’s no TI logo or part# OPA4325 or similar markings on the die set.

TI logo is not always marked on a die which is the norm these days, as the die dimension is getting smaller and smaller. However, there should be a marking on the surface of die, I may be able to check it for you if you are able to provide a decapped image. The marking is for the internal use only and is not used for traceability purposes.

TI's part traceability is not based on the internal marking on a Si die. TI is able to trace parts that are sold by the authorized TI distributors or TI e-store only. Since the part is purchased from TI Store, then customer should be confident that these are authentic parts.

Please let me know if you have additional questions,

    Best,

    Raymond

  • Adding to Raymond's reply, if in fact the part was purchased from TI EStore, the customer should be confident that these are authentic parts. However, if your partners are still not satisfied, please direct them to contact TI counterfeit team.  Link: https://www.ti.com/support-quality/quality-policies-procedures/anti-counterfeit.html.

All verification requests must be worked through your supply chain.

In order for TI to begin the verification process all of the following information is required.  Please provide the required information to ti-counterfeit@list.ti.com.

    Required information:

    Completed Counterfeit Request Form

High quality pictures of the bottom & top of the device(s)

High quality pictures of the 2D bar code labels.

Copies/pictures of shipping documents, i.e. packing slip showing the origin of the devices to TI.  (If this information cannot be provided we are unable to provide verification due to uncertainties regarding chain of custody of the products.)

    Provide device application.

Once the required information is provided and submitted, your request will be reviewed for verification.

Important Note: The attachment size limit for the group address (ti-counterfeit@list.ti.com) is 1MB.  Email SCSmith@ti.com if your attachments are larger than 1MB.

  • hi raymond,

please see below of die image, yes we do know that parts are authentic but as this is our first time buying this part we wish to keep it as a record for future reference.

  • Hi Jean,

You found the marking on the die. I will get it back to you next week, and it may take several days.

    Best,

    Raymond

  • hi raymond,

do you have any updates on this?

  • Hi Jean,

I am still waiting for reply. If this is urgent, please use the links provided by Marek. The application team does not have access to the low level design information, and we have to ask for other team for the support.

    Best,

    Raymond

  • Hi Jean,

The design team verified that 5431 is the Die ID on the OPA4325.

Please keep in mind that the die ID is unique, and it may be altered when rev. number is different.

If you have additional questions, please let me know.

    Best,

    Raymond
