OPA376: Regarding usage of OPA376AIDCKR

Part Number: OPA376

Please check and inform can we use OP-Amp part no: OPA376AIDCKR  by connecting +3.3V and -3.3V as working voltage as in specification, it was mentioned as 2.2 to 5.5V or ±1.1 to ±2.75V.

  • Hi Murari,

what do you mean by "working voltage"? The recommended maximum supply voltage would be +/-2.75V. When applying a higher supply voltage you will do this on your own risk.

    Kai

  • shall we use this part at ±3.3V.

  • As Kai mentioned, since the OPA376 is specified for max supply voltage of +/-2.75V (or 5.5V single supply), all datasheet max/min specification limits do NOT apply at +/-3.3V supplies. Having said that, OPA376 Absolute Maximum Supply Voltage is Rated at 7V (or +/-3.5V) so the part will work like an op amp but its expected life of 10 years at 25C may be shortened. Additionally, we are not in a position to tell you any more details what to expect in terms of parametric shifts because we have not done any tests or characterization at +/-3.5V supplies.  Thus, you would need to do your own evaluation of OPA376 performance at the elevated supplies and understand the risks involved in terms of OPA376 decreased reliability - this is especially true at the elevated ambient temperature.
