The LM158-N is the same device with a wider temperature range, so it's plausible for the LM358-N to use the same die.
The "D" migh be the die revision.
Hello Icgoo,
The metal designator has the expected text. LM158 and LM358 share the same metal layer. The last character is "D"
Is there a reason for uncovering the die?
Hello Ron,
Cover opening detection is the normal process of warehousing.
