INA241B: operation with bipolar supply possible?

Hi,

Is it possible to supply the INA241 and INA296 with a bipolar supply, eg +/- 3.3V to get a bipolar output when measuring bidirectional currents?
Or is there another current sense amplifier (similar Vcm range) that can be used in such way?

Hello KF,

You do not need to place bipolar supply as this device has a reference pin. I assume you would like to place +3.3V on VS pin, -3.3V on GND pin and 0V on the Vref pins. This can also be done but the -3.3V supply must be stable and all voltages are referenced to the GND pin voltages.

Hello Javier,

Customer specifically asked for a device that provides a bipolar output when measuring bi-directional currents. Do we have any INA that can do that? I double-checked with customer but it is a fix requirement to get negative output from the current sense amplifier when they measure negative currents.
