AMC3330-Q1: Prototype part differences

Part Number: AMC3330-Q1

We noticed that some of our parts are labeled PAMC3330QDWERQ1 and I believe are prototype parts.

Is there a difference we need to be aware of between the PAMC3330QDWERQ1 parts and the AMC3330QDWERQ1 parts?

Thanks,

Dave

  • Hi Dave,

P marked are early prototype devices. I checked my notes and found two possible differences:

    1. Gain of 2.05 as opposed to specified gain of 2.

    2. Common-mode input voltage violation triggering a fail-safe output:

As the P marked devices are a few years old tracking down exactly which (if either) of these differences are present would be difficult with the topside marking, but I can ask if you have that information available. The alternative to verify performance is to take a look on the bench if you have an EVM and a couple voltage supplies: https://www.ti.com/tool/AMC3330EVM

Can you share any information about the application or do you need any assistance with a schematic/layout review?

  • Alexander, thank you for the information!  We have decided to replace any devices marked with the "P" just to make sure our testing is valid.
