AMC3330-Q1: Voltage circuit sensing issue

Part Number: AMC3330-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC3330, OPA333

Hi team,

We are considering following circuit for High voltage sensing ( up to 1000V), for that we are facing below mentioned problem.

Could you please have a look in to that and provide your comments  ?

Considered schematic:

Provided Vin 60V and Observed the results at Vout R404.

  • Above mentioned voltage pattern observed at Vin range : 10V to 350V, after 350V to 380V Vout voltage is stable.

After removing highlighted capacitor in the above image, issue was resolved.

Could you please provide your input to over come the issue ?

  • Hi Vivek,

I spoke with a field engineer of ours in regards to this issue some time ago. My concern was that the feedback resistor, R182 is connected to ground instead of mid-supply. As the output from the AMC3330 is +/-2V, the negative portion of the output will be clipped to GND.

I'm not sure why removing the capacitors resolves the issue, the team supporting the OPA333 may have a better idea - I recommend posting to their forum for advice if you have not already.
