LM2904B-Q1: LM2904 output voltage swing from rail at low Io

Part Number: LM2904B-Q1

Hi team,

My customer is using LM2904B-Q1 in their design with single rail power supply. The minimum output from calculation is to 1.6V,

They found the output variation respect to ideal result is much larger at -40C compared with 25C or 105C, not sure if related with below figure( Io=0.16mA). Do you have more data available for low output current region?

Thank you

Scarlett

  • Hello Scarlett,

If they can reduce sinking current to 0.050mA then a big improvement will be noticed. The constant sink driver will provide this current.

For current greater than constant sink driver, a PNP emitter follower provides current; minimum voltage varies close to 2mV/C.

    However, I see no issue for -40C , Vout = 1.6V and Iout = 0.16mA ; Where does 1.6V value come from?
