LMP2022: Close-loop bandwidth recommendation

Part Number: LMP2022

I am using the LMP2022 in a buffer configuration for triangle wave signals that have an offset. The amps in the design are powered with a single sided 5V supply. The signals are above the closed loop bandwidth recommendation of 20kHz (to avoid aliasing from the auto zero circuit). However, the datasheet also says that signals above 20kHz are not affected.

What is the max Vout-pk for signals at 600kHz? What about for 300kHz?

Thanks,

Nicole

  • The maximum Vout_peak magnitude may for any signal frequency may be calculated from the derivative of the output signal with respect to time: dVout / dt - see below:

Knowing the LMP2022 slew rate of 2.5V/us (or 2.5e6V/sec) and using the above equation, Vp = SR/(2*Pi*f), one may calculate the max peak output voltage for f=600kHz to be  Vp=2.5e6/(6.28*600e3)=663mV while for f=300kHz the max Vp = 1.327V.  These values may change by up to +/-30% due to the slew rate variation over process.
