AMC1311: IGBT NTC Measurement

Hey Team,

My customer, Petr @ Eaton, is looking for the lowest cost solution to measure an NTC (integrated into IGBT module), 5 channels in total. Petr is considering the AMC1311B right now, but I wanted to reach out to see if there is currently a better option in the portfolio. I assume reinforced isolation is necessary...

I looked around and it seems like another potential option might be to leverage an ADC + digital isolator.

Could you please advise if AMC1311 is the lower cost part in your portfolio to get the job done, as well as if you know of another method to measure this NTC?

    Hi Dajon,

    I assume it would be one NTC in each different IGBT module, therefor leveraging an ADC + digital isolator may not be possible as each different IGBT modules voltage potential would be switching when the system operates. 

    As of right now, AMC1311B would be the best device for reinforced isolation, AMC1211 or AMC1200 for basic isolation.
