TLV3501: TINA micro model seems incorrect.

Hi team,

It seems the TINA micro model of TLV3501 is incorrect. The simulation circuit can only function properly with single supply. The circuit cannot work if it is powered from bipolar supply, such as +/-2.5V (SD connected to -2.5V).

Thank you for so quickly response, it works properly now.

But I have still another question: the output may behave abnormal (phase reverse) once input signal beyond power rail more than 0.2V even the input current is limited. Is it the the truth for real device? or just the issue of micro model?

Hi John,

For the model only, when the inputs are outside the common mode range, the output will float to mid supply. This does not happen in the real device.

For the real device, i'm not exactly sure what happens in the output but we recommend to limit the current of the input as you mentioned or do not go beyond the input range
