OPA690: Designing band pass with opa690

Part Number: OPA690
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS3705,

Hello Team,

We have a requirement that base on the TMS3705 circuit,

we need to add a filtered circuit to filter out waveforms below 110Khz and above 139Khz.PN:OPA690IDBVT

Do you have any reference filtered circuit?

Thank you!

  • Hi,

On the product page just above the ordering & quality section, there is a filter design tool that I believe you will find very beneficial. You can select the passband and stopband requirements along with what filter response type you are looking for and create a filter circuit to meet these requirements. Here also is the link

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Nick

  • Yes, I find the design tool, but the OPA690 can not be choosed. Or we must choose the recommdend PN?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

The design tool tries to pull a least of parts that meet the requirements (i.e. you can select supply voltages you want to run, number of channels, etc) and also select devices that have the necessary bandwidth required to run the configuration you are looking to achieve. The design tool does not always get every applicable device which is likely why you can't select the device. My recommendation is to run a simulation using the presented design, except interchanging the OPA690 for whichever chip the tool selects as the passive components values will remain the same. This way, you can confirm the behavior you are looking to achieve with the OPA690.

    Thanks,

    Nick
