OPA838: Minimum supply voltage

Team,

OPA838 has minimum supply voltage of 2.7V.

Can it be operated below 2.7V supply voltage? (With reduced function, if applicable.)
What happens if the supply voltage gets below 2.7V?

Do we have an alternative amplifier, also with low noise and low current consumption, that can operate at lower voltage?

Below 2.7 V, correct operation is no longer guaranteed.

There are amplifiers that can go down to 1.8 V (search), but they have more noise.

Hi Franziskus,

Like Clemens mentioned, the device's performance is no longer guaranteed when operating device outside its recommended range. The device might not even fully turn on with supplies lower than 2.7V. As for any alternative devices, we do not have any that can operate below 2.7V that have similar performance to the OPA838. The list Clemens provided is a good starting point to narrow down which parameters are not so important in the design, however there are no devices with better flatband voltage noise performance than the OPA838 that can operate under 2.7V.

Could you recommend another OP?

the current consumption of the OPA356-Q1 is too high for customer's battery driven product.

He can reduce the gain bandwidth product to 40MHz.

Do you have any better options with this reduced GBW?
