I made a simple voltage follower with the LM6082 but it don't work as expected, when the input is above 3.65V the output jump to the 5V rail, like in the print below.
I looked the datasheet but I don't get any information about this, besides the OpAmp be Rail-to-Rail.
Does anyone know what's going on? Thanks.
Hi Giovani,
The LMC6082 has a rail-to-rail output swing. However, the input common-mode voltage is limited to ~2.5V (1.9V typical) below the positive rail.
When your input voltage exceeds the common-mode voltage range, the amplifier no longer has linear operation and the output collapses into the rail.
You may consider an amplifier with both rail-to-rail input and output, such as LMC6482.
