INA300-Q1: common mode input voltage

Part Number: INA300-Q1

Hi team,

In customer's system, the common mode input voltgae can be -0.2V ~ -0.1V.  This doesn't exceed the abs max voltage, but this exceeds the electraical characteritics, that is 0V.

What can we mention about this? The understanding below is correct? Any suggestion will be helpful.

The common mode input voltgae = -0.2V ~ -0.1V doesn't lead to device damage, but can affect the performace like linearity or else  becasuse it exceeds 0V.

  • Takahashi-san,

Thanks for the question and using the E2E forum!

The common mode input voltgae = -0.2V ~ -0.1V doesn't lead to device damage, but can affect the performace like linearity or else  becasuse it exceeds 0V.

You are absolutely correct here. The device is designed to survive common mode voltages without damage down to GND-0.3V. However, the specifications in the electrical characteristics table are only guaranteed down to Vcm=0V, not below. So, for example, we don't guarantee that CMRR is 100dB if Vcm is -0.2V.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
