LMH32401: VOD Modulation

Hi , 

I wish to modulate the VOD output offset pin 9 to change the output signal thresholds dynamically. I have used the pspice model and this appears to show a bw of about 42MHz. There is nothing in the ds which confirms this though. Can I rely upon the pspice model being accurate for modelling VOD modulation?

    Hi Ian,

    The VOD was characterized and is highlighted in the Electrical Characteristics table at the top of page 9. As for the model, we always recommend the customer to use the model with the understanding that it is used as a rough guide for how to implement our devices. They do not model every parameter that is highlighted in a datasheet and certain functions within each model such as the VOD pin might have a simplified version implemented which would not tell you exactly how this pin interacts internally in the real-life device. For the best gauge on performance, we recommend implementing the device on a PCB or using the EVM designed for this device.
