INA310A-Q1: Divider Resistors for CMP_IN pin

Hi,

We are using INA310A3-Q1 for one of our application. I would like to know whether the trip voltage (close to 0.6V) can be set only with Vsense & gain without the use of divider resistors. In datasheet, I couldn't see the option to set trip limit without the divider resistors.

Eg: If my normal Vsense is 2.5mV, with a gain of 50, gives 0.125V & for sense voltage of 12.5mV (trip), with a gain of 50, gives 0.625V (crosses comparator reference of 0.6V). By this way can I implement the over current trip without using the divider resistors ??

Kindly clarify.

Thank you so much for your prompt response Mitch... I could see in the datasheet that the pull-up resistor of 5.1k ohms is connected at the open drain output and for the same value, all the characteristics have been defined. For lesser current consumption, can the output pull up value be increased ?? Eg: Can 10k be used ??

Hello Prahaladh,

Yes, you can use a different value, such as 10kΩ. CMPout will just pull up slower with the 10kΩ value.
