OPA170: Designing with OPA170.

Part Number: OPA170
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM10, OPA990

Hello Team,
We have a PCB whose short circuit need to be checked.
I was referring to the application note Diagnostic Technique Detects Open and Short Circuits in Wiring Harnesses
The short circuit may be because of the mistakes in the assembly or wrong wiring.
Can I use the following circuit for short circuit detection between the VCC and the GND line.
The external power supply (marked as power supply) will connect to the board only when there is no short circuit.
The current limiting resistor will form a voltage divider with the resistance of the board

A short circuit leads to a zero resistance between its VCC and GND pins and therefore the voltage across it will be zero.
An OPA170 is used to measure this voltage and the voltage is then given to an ADC.
If there is a voltage at the output of OPA170, it means there is no short circuit and we can power the device.
Can you please comment on this architecture?.
