INA188: INA Saturation without the I Bias return path

Part Number: INA188

Hi team,

I want ask a question  about the INA I bias return path, cause you know, we always suggest to provide a receive path for the I Bias to avoid it into a saturation, so I want to ask ,if we use a non-inverter amplifier circuit with the same configuration, it means just like this .does the below circuit  will go to saturation? the stray capacitor stands for the capacitor if the IN+ pin & the parasitic capacitor of the PCB . if  so, why we didn't see saturation in practical application

  • When the input is connected only to a capacitor, then you do not know what voltage it has. And it indeed can float to an out-of-range value.

Why is there a capacitor in the first place? What is the purpose of this circuit?

  • Hey Eric,

As Clemens pointed out the example you provided shows the non inverting node floating at DC. This will not work because the amplifier is not properly DC biased. I see the title is for the INA188. Can you provide a complete schematic for the INA188?

    Best Regards,

    Chris Featherstone
