LM193QML: Difference between LM193H/883C & LM193H/883

Part Number: LM193QML

Hi,

Please let us know Difference between LM193H/883C & LM193H/883

  • Hello Jay,

At one time it was required that the revision of the Mil standard be included in the product name. So, LM193H/883C was manufactured under rev. C of the 883 standard.

That requirement was dropped after rev. C, so that product made after that does not have a revision letter in the name. We do not have a "C" device now - that would be the LM193H/883 now.

So the non-C part number you have is either a current device, or an older pre-B device, or a old part number that was specified before the revisions.

  • So what is current revision?

And, current revision is compatible to C?

  • Hi Jay,

I am not sure what the revision is but electrically the device should behave the same.

  • Hello Jay,

Current Mil Std 883 rev is "K".

TI builds to the current rev of Mil Std 883 and Mil Prf 38535 at the time the device was assembled and tested.

So the actual rev used at the time needs to be determined by the datecode.

For the most part, there is no real difference between /883B, /883C and /883 - they should all perform the same.

If the customer is concerned, then they need to refer to the standard in use at the time of the marked datecode (package seal date).
