We are developing Lidar by applying OPA855-Q1.
OPA855-Q1 product bandwidth is 8GHz.
The PD Bandwidth we are applying is 2GHz.
We use the product at 100MHz.
Is it possible for the product to operate normally with the above two combinations?
Is there any way to lower the bandwidth of the OPA855-Q1 product?
If you know, please tell me how.

Hi Park,

The bandwidth of any amplifier depends on the configuration the device is in. Specifically in a TIA application, the useable bandwidth depends on the PD capacitance as well as the signal gain you need for your application (feedback resistor). The link below is a three-part series that runs through what to consider and how to implement a TIA circuit. In your application, the OPA855 could be a good fit but will depend on the two factors mentioned previously. I will also attach a link to our TIA calculator, which is used to calculate values needed for an optimal TIA response that the blog series works through.
