INA181: "Guidance for Simulation in PSpice for TI."

Part Number: INA181
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-010015

Hello Sir/Ma'am,

I'm trying to implement the reference design of TIDA-010015 through PSpice for TI software. But meanwhile I'm facing problem with placing of INA181 in the schematic due to  lack of this IC in Texas Instruments library for designing. How can I overcome this problem?

I'm waiting for your reply.

Thanks & Regards.

  • Hello Valued Engineer,

I am sorry about this inconvenience. The INA181 does appear to not be in the library. We will make sure to add this back.

In meantime, you can import the model rather quickly by downloading the model from the product page, copying the INA181.lib and INA181.olb into your simulation file directory, and then using the following steps below:

0 - Right click Library and add the .olb

1 - Click the Edit Simulation Profile button

2 - Go to Configuration Files

3 - Click Browse and then select the .lib file

4 - Click Add to Design (or Global)

5,6 - Click Apply and then OK.

    Sincerely,

    Peter

  • Hello Sir,

Thank you so much for your reply & concern.

It has been worked out with your instruction. My earnest request to you that can you provide me the SIMPLIS model of INA181 as I can simulate it.

I've not get the SIMPLIS model of this IC from TI website.

    I'm waiting for your reply.

    Thanks & Regards.

  • Hey Arghya,

We are still developing our SIMPLIS models. We may not have the INA181 in SIMPLIS ready for another 3 months.

    Sincerely,

    Peter
