LT1013: output state after IC failure?

Part Number: LT1013
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2205, OPA2197-Q1

Team,
In case LT1013 or OPA2205 input gets damaged (EOS, or any other type of failure..etc) are we able to say if IC will always present a given known output state?

Do we have some AMPs or CMPs that will always present a given output state whatever the damage or fault is?

For TI ICs that classified under Functional Safety classification we do provide "Failure Mode Distribution (FMD) / Failure Mode Analysis (FMA), ..etc":
    https://www.ti.com/technologies/functional-safety.html
Are those type of data as well available for more standard AMP/CMP?

Thanks in advance,

Anthony

  • Hi Anthony,

I don't believe we have this information for LT1013 or OPA2205. You can use the product search to find devices that have are categorized as "Functional Safety Capable". This category of devices will have the failure mode distribution available on the product page.

Here is an example failure mode distribution from the OPA2197-Q1:
