LOG200: PSpice lib file does not work in LTSpice

Part Number: LOG200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PSPICE-FOR-TI, TINA-TI

Hello Team,

I was trying to implement log200 to a circuit I was working on. However, when I made all the connections and ran the transient simulation, I got the following error:

Unknown SPICE Device type "1" in 17f62b1fb318c25603aeb85644ae98a5d179ef807807791f6459efacb9d7ffc37a831b146dc0f06bb1ef275619162e6d8f7ad0dc708bf15ae1a1d5bd0ae623b2

I believe this error is caused by the subcircuit ".SUBCKT A1_A2_V2P1_LOG200 FE_IN+ FE_IN- FE_OUT VS+ VS-" in the lib file. The definition of that subcircuit seems to be encrypted or something of sorts.

Could you please help me to resolve this issue? How can I implement the part in LTSpice?

Thanks for your support.

  • Hi Kaan,

Unfortunately, the available model for the LOG200 is encrypted, and currently only compatible with PSPICE-FOR-TI or TINA-TI.

I can consult with the team regarding the future development/availability of an unencrypted model; we recognize that an unencrypted model could be valuable.  The LOG200 device is currently under preview status, and I would estimate it will be at least a few months before a LOG200 un-encrypted model is available. Nevertheless, I will check with the development team.

In the mid time, let me know if you have questions; or if you need assistance with the LOG200 or LOG200 simulations using TINA-TI or PSPICE-FOR-TI.

     Thank you and Kind Regards,

    Luis
