AMC1302: Input Noise

Part Number: AMC1302

Tool/software:

If I use the 10 Ohm input resistors I have a lot of noise at the output.
Without the 10 Ohm resistors I have much better performance.
Can you give me an explanation for this? Since the circuit was suggested in the data sheet, I would like to know if I can leave it out without any disadvantages.

Regards Martin

  • Hi Martin,

These resistors make up the anti-aliasing filter, meant to filter out high-frequency signals that may alias into the sampling band.

It's difficult to read your schematic, but I think there is a CM-choke on the inputs that may be affecting the performance of the RC filter.
