THS3491DDAEVM: modify for inverting gain configuration

Part Number: THS3491DDAEVM

Tool/software:

Hi,

can you give me an example of how to modify the THS3491DDAEVM for inverting gain configuration.

Thx

regards

Hermann

  • Hi Hermann,

To modify the EVM for an inverting configuration you can set R1 to 0ohms and remove the R2 resistor. Assuming you have to impedance match at the input with your signal source you can set R2 accordingly. Figure 9-2 gives an example of an inverting configuration in a gain of 5V/V. This example highlights the termination resistor RT which is R2 on the EVM used to impedance match to a 50ohm input source. I would also like to highlight that depending on the package, there is a recommended Rf value at certain gains. Table 9-2 shows what value should be used for a certain gain and package, which is DDA for this EVM.

    Best Regards,

    Ignacio
