Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA828
Tool/software:
My question to Texas Instrument is, knowing that there are surface mount (OPA627AU and OPA637AU) versions of the through-hole Burr-Brown (OPA627AP and OPA637AP) why is it highly recommended to move to the OPA828ID for all new designs. It even states this recommendation in the OPA828ID datasheet. Is it because the OPA627AU has a long lead time or is EOL. Silicon expert says 10 years, which is not very accurate.
- The OPA637AU (SOIC) is in stock. The OPA627AU (SOIC) is out of stock, 18-week lead-time if not longer. There is some design risk here from a timeline perspective. If we make an order now, are we looking at product delivery around November 2024 or sooner?
- Silicon Expert says that the OPA637AU and 0PA627AP are both showing 10-year forecast, is this True? Or is this End of Life
