LMV321-N: LMV321-N - Voltage

Part Number: LMV321-N
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMV321

Tool/software:

We have a specific case that we need some clarification.Normally, our circuit is functioning with 3.3V on Inputs and 3.3V on Outputs, but we have some units where the component have 3.3V on Inputs and 2.8V on Outputs
We did a Swap ABA in under to review if the failure is following the component or the unit and the component still failing in a Know Good Unit, so we need to understand why the component is not functioning as expected? The pin 3 of the component is it used to feedback function? Which voltage will i need to see reflected on Outputs?

  • Hello Alondra, welcome to the TI e2e forums.

The input common mode voltage range (VCM) for LMV321 is supply voltage minus 1V. So 2.3V in this case. This value allows for temperature and some margin.

If both inputs were 3.2V then VCM would be well above 2.3V ; The VCM max of 2.3V protects against an unexpected output voltage.

2.8V is an unexpected output caused by violating data sheet VCM specs. I suggest using a rail to rail input common mode op amp like , TLV9001UIDBVR
