Hi team,

My customer is using TLV7031-Q1 in their system. They have found one failure mode of VCC short to 16V. The actual measurement is ~10V (because there's resistor in between). Could you please share if the IC will be damaged this way and what's the failure mode?

This violates the absolute maximum ratings, and is likely to degrade and damage the device. Exact failure modes are unpredictable, but can include shorts to any other pins.

Hi Scarlett,

Yes, this will very likely damage the device by exceeding abs max Vcc voltage of 7V as Clemens mentioned.
