TLV9004: SLVA662 – July 2014 Demystifying Type II and Type III Compensators Using OpAmp and OTA for DC/DC Converters

Dear Team,

I have a question on Type II compensator shown in this document SLVA662. (www.ti.com/.../slva662.pdf

I understand how to determine H(S) in a Type II compensator.

I am curious about how the time constant τ related to the RC time constant is calculated in the given circuit.

For the transfer function H(s), we can calculate 2 poles and 1 zero.

As far as I know, the time constants of a Type-2 compensator are the inverse of the poles. am i right?

If you can derive the formula, could you please let me know?

I sincerely appreciate your help.
