OPA4182: OPA4182PWR release date?

Part Number: OPA4182

Tool/software:

Team,

When will the OPA4182 in the PW package (TSSOP-14) be transitioned from Preview to Active?  I am interested in reducing the size of a design that I am currently working on.

I liked the OPA4189PWR, but this application note (specifically Table 5-1) showed that charge injection would be a significant issue with the input impedances in my circuit:  https://www.ti.com/lit/wp/sboa586/sboa586.pdf

The OPA4187PWR has a higher noise and lower bandwidth than would be ideal for my application.

Thanks,

Jack Terrell

  • Hi Jack,

I hope you are doing well today and thank you for reaching out. It is great to see that you are interested in the OPAx182 family. Generally, higher switching frequencies in choppers come with a charge injection penalty. Typically it is not a problem unless you use large impedances at the input. You don't want to use large impedances with low noise amplifiers either way as it would degrade the noise performance.

With that said, we only have the SOIC quad channel version of the OPA4182 available today. I can follow up with you offline on the details of the TSSOP release and address any other issues you may have.

    Thank you,

    Daniel
