Hi Team,

We are using LM2903QPWRRB (Dual comparator within single IC) IC in my project.

I am providing 3.3V supply to this IC. So my common mode IC voltage is 1.3V (-40C to 85C) or 1.8V (25C) based on the datasheet specifications.

If I am applying more than the common mode voltage (> 1.3 to 1.9V) to one of the comparator of LM2903 then is there any impact on the other comparator of IC??

Hello Giridhar,

Please see section 5.4 of the LM339 family appnote. This explains the input voltage limitations.

Application Design Guidelines for LM339, LM393, TL331 Family Comparators

As long as the input voltage stays within -0.3 to 36V input limit, one channel should not affect the other channels.

We do know that pulling the inputs negative below ground, causing large currents, (Section 5.9) CAN cause malfunctions with other channels.

BTW: The TL331 is the single version.
