INA196A-Q1: INA196AIDBVT

Part Number: INA196A-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi,
Good evening,

Please help me out to calculate the load on the input power supply for the part number - INA196AIDBVT.
VCC = 5V

Explain in detail.
Also, please let me know what are the parameters in the data sheet to be considered for calculating the load on input power supply.

Thanks,
Prajwal

  • Hello Prajwal,

    Thank you for your post.

    At a high level, you want to look at both the IQ of the device as well as the output short circuit current (or sourcing current).

    So I would follow the curve in figure 6-8 according to your supply voltage for your expected IQ.

    You must also consider the output sourcing current depending on your operating temperature. This will be the dominating power consumption for the device.

    So for a rough approximation, you should expect around 34mA max at -40°C.

    I hope this makes sense,

    Joe
