OPA2340: Recommend input voltage and Absolute input voltage

Part Number: OPA2340

Tool/software:

Hi,

Customer want to know the suitable input voltage of OPA2340 because the recommend input voltage and absolute input voltage are the same 5.5V.

If customer need to derate the input voltage which is the suitable input voltage? Could they use 5.5V?

Thank you,

Yishan Chen

  • The entry in the absolute maximum ratings says "0.5 V", and is wrong. It should be "V+ + 0.5 V".

As specified in section 6.7, the common-mode voltage range goes 0.3 V beyond the power rails. As shown in figure 14, the input bias current increases at the extremes.

  • The max/min input common-mode voltage is a function of supply voltage and should not exceed 0.3V beyond the rails unless the input current is limited (e.g. with series input resistor) to 10mA or less. As Clemens noted there are errors in OPA2340 Absolute Maximum Ratings table - thus, instead please use the table shown below.
