INA240-Q1: INA240A-Q1

Part Number: INA240-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

I am using two INA240A1-Q1 IC used for measuring same current based on project requirement. (like below). We used different (Supplier) LDOs for providing supply to each INA240A1-Q1 IC.

Now i am planning to calculate error budget for CSA amplifier.

My LDOs tolerances like LDO_1 ==> 3.234V to 3.366V & LDO_2 ==> 3.201V to 3.399V. My operating temperature is -40C to 85C.

I need clarification for below point:

Q). Shall i consider both CSA amplifier tolerances single side only ( like +Ve tol. or -Ve tol.) or Do i  need to consider worst case (one is min & one is max)??

If i consider worst case then my error budget value is high. (In calculation included Gain error, offset error, Reference divider tolerances & supply tolerances).

Thanks & regards,

Giridhar.

  • Hi Giridhar,

    Please take a look at section “8.4.4 Calculating Total Error”. Typically we don’t simply add all the max errors. Let me know if you have further questions after reviewing the calculation examples.
