LM7171QML-SP: Actual PN searching for is 5962F9553602VXA

Part Number: LM7171QML-SP

Tool/software:

Unable to locate Datasheet for 5962F9553602VXA. I am searching for Package Drawing/Dimensions Table information. Need to determine if this component is pre-formed or straight lead, which would require forming. Thanks!

  • Hello David,

I found the package drawing for 5962F9553601VXA, which shows preformed leads:

    https://www.ti.com/lit/ml/mclg023c/mclg023c.pdf

Did you intend to ask about the CFP (NAC) package for the LMH717-SP?  The other CFP (NAD) package has the straight leads.  The product number you originally shared is 5962F9553602VXA, which corresponds to LM7171AMWGFLQV.  This older OPN does list the CFP (NAC) package, which would suggest the same performed leads as the 5962F9553601VXA drawing I shared above.

I hope this helps; the CFP (NAC) has preformed leads while the CFP (NAD) has straight leads.  The packages have 10 pins.

    Best,

    Alec

  • Yes, my concern here is I'm unable to locate datasheet for 5962F9553602VXA. Not sure whether this package drawing is NAC or NAD. All I could find was information on 5962F9553601VXA indicating pre-formed.

I was unable to type in part number 5962F9553602VXA in the Request Forum Part Number Field, as it did not recognize this part. How were you able to correspond LM7171AMWGFLQV to 5962F9553602VXA? I was unable to see this in search.

If I am understanding you correctly, you're stating that 5962F9553602VXA is an older PN corresponding to LM7171AMWGFLQV, which package drawing is NAC, pre-formed package. Is DS available?

    Thank you!

  • Hello David,

I was able to find and confirm with our internal system that the 5962F9553602VXA corresponds to the LM7171AMWGFLQV.  I also confirmed the package type to be 10-pin NAC, part of TI's CFP package group.  The long numeric is the material name, but the orderable part number is LM7171AMWGFLQV.

You can use this link to confirm NAC packaging for yourself: https://www.ti.com/materialcontent/en/search

There is not an internal electrical design difference between LM7171AMWGFLQV and LM7171AMWGFQMLV.  You can use the LM717QML-SP datasheet for the electrical performance and NAC package information.  The 2 was an aspect of the original device by National Semiconductor; the numbers corresponded to radiation dose rate testing by National Semiconductor.  As TI now manufactures the LM7171-SP, there is not a difference in radiation testing and the available devices from TI (and ti.com) are ELDRS free.  Your 5962F9553602VXA orderable product number corresponds to National Semiconductor's ELDRS free orderable part #, while there used to be a high dose rate (tested) device with the 1 included in the part number.  This high dose rate (HDR) device could have exhibited sensitivity to lose doses of radiation; this is no longer a concern with LM7171-SP.

This is a bit confusing, but overall you can use the existing, updated LM7171-SP datasheet to support these devices.  If you have very specific questions about radiation testing, older standards, or the manufacturing process, it will take me some time to provide these items.

Please use the current datasheet revision for your designs.  Thank you!

    Best,

    Alec
