I've heard some time ago, that an unencrypted model is in the works, but still nothing on download page for PGA855.

Any news on this?

I can't use PSpice because I have too much concurrent installs apparently (separate thread). In anyway, PSpice is too big of an installation for what it offers. Also, some of the features I want to use from PSpice are all behind a paywall. Free tools happen to enable everything we need.
TINA-TI is the same story.

Hi!

I'm not trying, because 99% of the time encrypted models have to be used in the programs they were created for.

We use internally LTSpice, QSpice, NGSpice and Microcap. LTSpice and QSpice are lightning fast, NGSpice is open-source and Microcap has a lot of features inside (optimizer, fast monte-carlo).

All of these require no installation managment, no sign-in and are better in Transient, DC and AC performance than PSpice.

Thank you for your feedback as we value to hear directly from our customers as to what is most important to completing your design. This feedback is well received and have taken steps forward to develop an unencrypted model. I expect an unencrypted model to be available online by Q2 2025.

I will also relay the simulator feedback to our simulator team.
