INA185: Safe when voltage applied at V+ and V-, but no Vs?

Hello,

Can you please confirm that the INA185 is safe in the scenario that the V+ and V- pins are connected to the shunt R on an active 12V rail,
but this devices' Vs rail is unpowered, 0V?

The absolute maximum ratings allow this.

See figure 5-21 for the input leakage current.

Hi Gerry,

Clemens is correct. The INA185 will not be damaged if there is no Vs and the V+ and V- pins are still connected to a live wire; you are ok to do this. Here is the plot that Clemens mentioned regarding leakage current.
