LM2903B-Q1: Can I use 5V as VCC for this IC?

Hello, I am a circuit designer. I have a question about LM2903B-Q1

The VCC reference Voltage seems to be 15V, but I need to connect a 5V power supply. Since there is an error rate even at 5V, the voltage value can definitely go down further, but how much can it go down? When I simulate it, it seems to not work from 4.5V. Is that right? I wonder what the minimum is.

The recommended operating conditions say that the minimum supply is 2 V. But the common-mode range ends 1.5 V (2 V at higher temperatures) below the supply, so this device is not very useful with low supply voltages. But it will work if your input signals do not go above 3 V.

The LM393LV-Q1 works better at 5 V because it has rail-to-rail inputs.

Simulation problems using LM2903B model usually means one or both of your inputs violate the input range of 0V to VCC-2V

As Clemens said, LM393LV-Q1 is generally a better and easier to use choice.
