INA228: Remote voltage sensing

Part Number: INA228

Tool/software:

Hi -

I am working with the INA228 but I really would like to remote sense the voltage.  I'm sensing current in the load path but the source in on the other side of a few inches of wiring (not always the same wiring).  Is there a way to do this with the INA228 or another digital sensor (with the same precision) that would allow remote sensing?  I'm thinking - tie to local sense with a small resistor - maybe 10 ohms, and then the remote sense would shunt that resistor out.

My application requires precision efficiency measurements of the UUT.  Any help or pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Stu Hodge
