LM62440-Q1: Efficiency and lifetime using Rboot open.

Hi, I am experiencing trouble regarding EMI using the LM62440-Q1. I want to try and use the circuit leaving Rboot open R = infinite, instead of R 100 Ohm. Have there in the mean time been any findings regarding this topic?

Furthermore am I curious if the lifetime of the device will be influenced if Rboot open is used.

Hi Mick,

It is fine is RBOOT is open, but using RBOOT above 100 ohms isn't really helping you much on EMI according to datasheet. I would try increasing RBOOT some more before opening it though.

I don't think we have efficiency data on RBOOT being open.
