Tool/software:
Hello,
Could you give a rated peak pulse current AND clamping voltage for 8/20 µs and/or 10/1000µs transients for the clamping diode ?
Thanks a lot

Hi Antoine,

The ESD diodes in JFE2140 are rated for ESD rated compliance specification. I am looping Chris for additional comments.
8/20 µs and 10/1000 µs transients are standardized electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) or electromagnetic immunity (EMI) test waveforms used primarily for surge and transient immunity testing. So we are talking about two different types of real world device protection.
8/20 µs is used for current pulse waveform, mainly for surge protection placed at the input of interface port --> real world application. Often used in IEC 61000-4-5 and surge immunity tests, such as MOV, TVS diodes.
10/1000µs is used for voltage waveform line. often used in IEC 61000-4-5 for surge testing on data and signal line protections.
Here are TVS related protection diodes for indirect lightning surges and/or switching transients.
