Tool/software:

What is difference between the LM148J/PB and LM148J

  • Hi Harish,

What is difference between the LM148J/PB and LM148J

There are no significant differences between LM148J/PB and LM148J. /PB marking refers to the part's package and material compliance. In this case, it is specified as DIP part with ceramic package and it may contain SnPb plating on the lead frame. The op amp circuit performance and specification are identical.

LM148J without /PB refers to the basic part number. It is likely that is lead-free depending on the ordering code and date code.

If you have other questions, please let me know.

    Best,

    Raymond

  • Hello Harish,

There is a very, very slight difference.

The LM148J/PB is the ex-National Semiconductor die (LM148-N).

The LM148J is the native TI version die (LM148).

    There are two different datasheets.

So they are the same function from two different companies at the time. But they are 99% identical and you should not really see any difference if operated within the common datasheet specifications.

Both have SNPB (leaded solder) plating. This is listed in the ordering info section of the product folder.
